Project 2, A Quilt for Evie

This second project has taken more time than I thought it would.  Maybe the intense heat has been partly to blame.  Who wants to work on a quilt when it is so hot?
I began collecting these 5inch picture squares about a year ago, and when my grandson Samuel was born, decided to make him a quilt with some, and to make Evie a similar quilt as she has had to move out of her small-bed-made-form-the-cot, into a cabin bed of her own. I finished her quilt first as I found just the right binding, (pink), and would have had to trawl through my fabrics for the binding for Samuel's quilt.  I have since found the right bright turquoise one.  Watch this space!
